ZEUS Mobility announced the acquisition of Superpedestrian Europe, marking a decisive step in the consolidation of Europe’s micromobility sector and positioning ZEUS among the continent’s leading independent operators. The transaction was led by ZEUS Mobility Founder and CEO Damian Young, together with Julian Alexander Hahn and Mats Andre Breesth, founders of SURF and Co-CEOs of Superpedestrian Europe since acquiring the European business in 2024.

By combining ZEUS Mobility’s profitable operating model with Superpedestrian’s globally recognised safety and fleet technology architecture, the company strengthens its structural position in a market that is rapidly consolidating around financially resilient operators.

Profitable Scale Meets Advanced Technology

Founded in 2020, ZEUS Mobility operates in more than 40 European locations and has surpassed €5 million in annual revenue while achieving positive EBITDA, a rare milestone in a sector that has undergone significant restructuring.

Following the acquisition, ZEUS plans to deploy up to 20,000 vehicles across 30 European locations within the next 12 months, supported by its next-generation e-bikes and ZOLARTM solar-powered charging infrastructure.

Superpedestrian’s advanced safety systems and AI-driven fleet management technology, developed over five years, will now be fully integrated into ZEUS’ European operations.

The integration is expected to deliver:

● Increased vehicle uptime
● Extended asset lifetime
● Enhanced real-time operational intelligence
● Improved safety performance for cities and riders

By aligning technology and operations within one integrated structure, ZEUS gains tighter control over cost efficiency, maintenance standards, and performance, creating a structural advantage in an increasingly disciplined market environment.

Leadership Perspective

Damian Young, Founder and CEO of ZEUS Mobility, said:

“This acquisition marks a defining step in ZEUS’ development. The European micromobility
market is entering a new phase defined by financial discipline, technological depth, and durable
city partnerships. By combining Superpedestrian’s technology with our proven operating model,
we are building a platform designed not just for growth, but for long-term resilience.”

Julian Hahn, Co-CEO of Superpedestrian Europe (Surf Beyond), added:

“Superpedestrian built one of the most advanced safety and fleet technology platforms in
micromobility over the past decade. This acquisition ensures that technology scales with
discipline.
The European market is moving decisively beyond growth-at-any-cost. In micromobility, unit
economics are fundamental. Asset lifetime, utilisation, and disciplined cost control ultimately
determine which operators endure. ZEUS has already demonstrated profitable execution under
these conditions. By integrating this technology and fleet into our operating platform, we further
strengthen the economic foundation of the business and materially reinforce our structural
position in the market.
We are building a structurally resilient company designed for durability, efficiency, and sustained
expansion across Europe.”
